We lost Brisco to renal failure during the recalled food we were
feeding.

We have found that the
MENU FOOD RECALL
has affected these two females. They both have kidney
damage and are not able to be breeders. We lost their little brother in
this litter because we started him on the recalled canned food after he
was 6 weeks of age. Many vets were telling us that even the dry was damaged
but did not know this for quite some time afterwards. It was the rice gluten
and wheat gluten in the food. I think Little Bit died because he
was a teacup kitten. He was just not big enough to handle the damage like
the bigger girls were. These two were much bigger and so didn't die of
renal failure but did get damage to their kidneys. It wasn't until
the end of the year when we started noticing so many of our cats getting
thinner and drinking so much more water and the litter boxes were so full
all the time. The vet was out here so much and we were giving all of them
a special powder in the canned food to help their kidney function, not
knowing we were doing more harm than good. The vets have told us that they
will live but we don't expect their life span to be as long as a normal
cat. We know there will be progression from the damage and possible future
medical expense but we have choosen to keep them both as pets. We lost
so many due to the recall, had to give many away to good samariatans who
would give them the care and medical they would need. But we just had to
keep these two. They have given us the love and attention we all need so
much. Both have been spayed so not to endanger their life. At least we
have them as a part of Kynzee and Brisco to love. We have decided to keep
both of these as our pets. The kids and I were so devastated at so much
loss and feel we need to hold these babies and love them to help fill the

up and breath. She sometimes sleeps by my side
or on my
tummy and keeps me warm.

She is my
special angel that protects me.

Precious Princess Silver Tips

| Precious had to have a complete hysterectomy. She lost one litter due
to the recall last March but she accidently bred with Chettah when she
went into heat this year, 2008, and got massive infection because she aborted
yet another litter and was too weak to be a breeder any longer. She will
remain with us as a pet only. We know her life expectancy will not be that
of a healthy cat but the kidney damage she got from all the food, has caused
two miscarriages and we hope to keep it in check and will continue to care
for her medical needs for whatever life span she has. She is loved and
I wish I could say we would be able to produce more healthy lynx point
kittens from her but don't know if and when we will find one that produces
the quality she has produced for us over the years. Just know she
is well loved and cared for and we will be looking for a replacement breeder
female for her in the near future when we are able to reopen our cattery.

IN MEMORY OF JINGLE BELLE
Died July 31st, 2006
COMPLICATIONs in delivery on her litter due July 31st, 2006
caused a heart attack and we lost her and her kittens.
Her water broke and when labor started, her heart stopped.
We are grief stricken but want to remember her through the web
as a wonderful pet and mother of many beautiful healthy kittens.
We now believe that the menu food recall is what
caused her death. The kidney damage was not found out about in time.
It went systemic on her during her pregnancy.
We did not know about the food
at the time of her death and are greatly saddened at the loss
of one of best girls due to this grievious incompetience
of Menu Foods. There was nothing wrong with her before
this happened. Her heart just could not handle the damage
done to her and when she went into labor, it was all her
little body could handle.

so much. Her kidneys were damaged and we were unaware of this and
